Nigel brings a wealth of experience from running several successful businesses, alongside a longstanding passion for community engagement and giving back.

Nigel brings a wealth of experience from running several successful businesses, alongside a longstanding passion for community engagement and giving back. His leadership, strategic mindset and strong local connections will play a key role in guiding the Foundation through its next phase of impact and expansion.
The Preston Grasshoppers Community Foundation was established to increase physical activity, education programmes and access to sport in particular rugby, across Preston and the surrounding areas, with a particular focus on disadvantaged and underrepresented communities. Through initiatives such as Mentoring and Rugby programmes, School Partnerships, Walking Rugby and inclusive community sessions the Foundation continues to use the power of rugby to inspire, develop and support people of all ages.
Speaking about his appointment, Nigel Taziker said:
“It is a real privilege to take on the role of Chair at Preston Grasshoppers Community Foundation. The work being delivered across schools and communities is both inspiring and impactful. I am passionate about creating opportunities and ensuring that sport, rugby and community-based programmes are accessible to everyone. I am looking forward to supporting the team as we strengthen partnerships, broaden our reach and build a sustainable future for the Foundation.”
Under Nigel’s leadership, the Foundation will continue to focus on strengthening governance, developing long-term partnerships, increasing funding opportunities and expanding programme delivery across Lancashire.
