Our team is the driving force behind the day-to-day delivery of the Preston Grasshoppers Community Foundation. Bringing expertise and a shared commitment to making a difference, they work across our schools and community programmes to bring rugby’s values to life. With experience in coaching, youth engagement, education, and inclusive sport, the team plays a vital role in creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can take part.

Jake Squirrell

I have played rugby since the age of five and gone on to represent Preston Grasshoppers RFC, Durham University, Sale Sharks Jets and have built up a wealth of coaching experience along the way. I am passionate about using rugby as a tool for inclusion, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the many benefits of sport in a supportive and fun environment.

I am now keen to bring my playing and coaching experiences together in this role at the Foundation, with the aim of making a lasting impact across the Preston community.

Community Sports Coach

As a Community Sports Coach for the Foundation, I am dedicated to developing a love for rugby and sports for the wider community.

My experience in coaching and has equipped me with the skills to inspire and motivate others, making sports accessible and for everyone.
