Jake has joined the Preston Grasshoppers Community Foundation as the new Head of Foundation. Having played rugby since the age of five and gone on to represent Preston Grasshoppers RFC, Durham University, Sale Sharks Jets and more, Jake has also built up a wealth of coaching experience along the way. He is passionate about using rugby as a tool for inclusion, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the many benefits of sport in a supportive and fun environment.
With a strong playing background, Jake has made close to 100 appearances for Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club, winning multiple promotions with the side and having the honour of captaining the team. His career has also included time with Caldy RFC in National League 1, representing Durham University, and playing for Sale Sharks Jets during his university years. Earlier, while studying at Myerscough College, he competed in the AASE League and helped his team win the MEO Tournament in Lisbon. As a junior, he represented the North of England U18s, County Lancashire, and the Sale Sharks Academy.
Jake is now keen to bring his playing and coaching experiences together in his role at the Foundation, with the aim of making a lasting impact across the Preston community.
