Global Ardour Recycling Join as Foundation Sponsor Supporting Local Communities of Preston

The Preston Grasshoppers Community Foundation is pleased to welcome Global Ardour Recycling as a new Foundation Sponsor, supporting the delivery of community programmes across Preston.

Global Ardour Recycling, one of the UK’s leading scrap metal recyclers with strong roots in Preston, will be directly supporting the Foundation’s work in schools, local groups, and neighbourhoods. Their support will help the Foundation deliver a wide range of projects that promote inclusion, confidence, and opportunities through rugby and sport.

This includes everything from school-based rugby sessions to community walking rugby, Rugratz Rugby for younger children, and a growing range of inclusive sessions for people of all ages and abilities. With Global Ardour’s support, the Foundation can reach even more people who may be disadvantaged, isolated, or simply in need of a positive activity. It will help create meaningful experiences and open up access to rugby and sport for those who benefit from extra support within our communities.

Their sponsorship will also support the continued development of educational projects, including the Rugby Reading Champions programme in primary schools and Mentoring and Rugby in secondary schools, both designed to build confidence, life skills, and enjoyment in learning through the power of sport.

Beth Mason, Operations Manager at Global Ardour Recycling, said:

“We’re pleased to back the Foundation. Their programmes are well-run and benefit a lot of people, and as a local scrap business we want to support the community we operate in.”

Molly Waring, Senior Business Operations and Facilities Manager at Global Ardour Recycling, added:

“The Foundation’s programmes are hands-on, practical, and make a real difference. It’s the kind of work we’re proud to support, and we’re pleased to help them reach more schools and families across Preston.”

Jake Squirrell, Head of Foundation at Preston Grasshoppers Community Foundation, said:

“Having Global Ardour Recycling join us as a Foundation Sponsor is fantastic news and a huge boost. Their support will play a vital role in helping us reach even more people across Preston, creating meaningful opportunities for physical activity and community development.”

Global Ardour Recycling operates nationally and processes large volumes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals for tradesmen, households, businesses, and organisations. Although the company works across the UK, it remains firmly rooted in Preston. Supporting local charities and community organisations is an important part of its commitment to giving back, and partnering with the Foundation reflects its belief in community, teamwork, and creating opportunities for people to thrive.
